The fine print

Server Rules

These apply on every MG server and in our Discord. Playing here means you accept them.

Not sure if something is allowed? Ask a staff member first.

Asking never gets you punished — guessing wrong sometimes does. Staff decisions are final in the moment; if you disagree, appeal in Discord rather than arguing in chat.

1

General Conduct

  1. Treat other players decently.

Trash talk in a PvP fight is part of the game. Harassment, targeted abuse and pile-ons are not.

  2. No hate speech or discrimination.

Anything aimed at someone's race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality or disability is an instant removal. There is no warning for this one.

  3. No threats and no doxxing.

Never post someone else's personal information, and never threaten anyone in real life. This gets reported outside the server where appropriate.

  4. Keep it appropriate for everyone.

Sexual content, gore and shock material do not belong here — in chat, in builds, in skins or in usernames.

  5. Do not impersonate staff or other players.

That includes nicknames, skins and claiming to speak for the team.

2

Fair Play

  1. No cheat clients or hacked clients.

Killaura, reach, fly, speed, x-ray, auto-clickers, scaffold, crystal aura and anything in that family. Our anticheat is written in-house and we review flags by hand.

  2. Allowed mods.

Performance and visual mods are fine — OptiFine, Sodium, Lunar, Badlion, minimaps without entity radar, and standard HUD mods. If a mod gives you information or an action you could not get by playing normally, it is not allowed.

  3. No macros or automation.

One key press should do one thing. Auto-clickers, drop macros and AFK farming rigs all count.

  4. Report bugs, don't farm them.

Found a duplication glitch or a way out of the map? Tell us in Discord. Using it — or selling it — is treated the same as cheating.

  5. No teaming where the mode forbids it.

In free-for-all modes, cross-teaming to farm kills or protect an ally is not allowed.

  6. Do not evade a combat tag.

Logging out, disconnecting or using a command to escape a fight in progress counts as running.

3

Chat & Voice

  1. No spam or flooding.

Repeating messages, walls of characters and caps-lock shouting make chat unusable for everyone else.

  2. No advertising.

Other servers, shops, channels and invite links stay off our chat and DMs. Sharing our own mg-mc.net, store.mg-mc.net and Discord links is fine.

  3. No scamming or fake trades.

Deals made in-game are expected to be honoured. Fake giveaways and “double your items” schemes are bans.

  4. Keep drama out of public chat.

Player disputes, punishment complaints and staff arguments belong in a Discord ticket.

  5. Voice chat follows the same rules.

No slurs, no screaming, no playing audio over other people.

4

Building & Griefing

  1. Respect claims and team land on Altar.

Raiding is part of survival where the mode allows it. Breaking into protected land through a bug is not.

  2. No lag machines.

Redstone clocks, mob stacking, hopper chains and entity spam built to hurt server performance will be removed and punished.

  3. No offensive builds.

Same standard as chat — if it would get you muted written down, do not build it.

  4. Do not block spawn, shops or warps.

Keep public areas usable. Trapping players at spawn points is griefing.

5

Accounts & Security

  1. You are responsible for your account.

Anything done on your account is on you. Keep your password to yourself and set one you do not use elsewhere.

  2. No alt accounts to dodge a punishment.

Ban evasion extends the original punishment and takes the alt with it.

  3. No account or item selling for real money.

Trades outside the official store are not protected and we will not recover anything lost to them.

  4. Purchases are final.

Store purchases support the network's hosting. Opening a chargeback results in a permanent ban across the network.

  5. Never attack the network.

DDoS attempts, exploit scanning and any attack on our infrastructure are permanent bans and are handed to our host.

6

Punishments & Appeals

  1. Punishments scale with severity and history.

Most first offences are a warning or a short mute. Cheating, hate speech and attacks on the network skip straight to a ban.

  2. Appeal in Discord, not in chat.

Open a ticket with your username and roughly when it happened. Arguing with staff in public chat will not get a punishment lifted.

  3. One honest appeal beats ten angry ones.

We do overturn mistakes. Spamming new tickets slows yours down.

  4. These rules can change.

The spirit matters more than the letter — deliberately looking for loopholes is itself a breach. Significant updates are announced in Discord.
